1) WILL IT FIT THE BUDGET?

A fairy tale wedding is what most people dream of, but economic reality cannot be ignored. How much of the wedding budget are you willing to allocate to the venue? Keep in mind that there are other expenses as well. The ideal venue should be comfortably priced.

2) IS IT AVAILABLE ON THE WEDDING DAY?

Popular venues are booked well in advance. If you have your heart set on a particular place, check the available dates. Some couples prefer to get married during the week, with big discounts up to 45%.

3) IS IT CONVENIENTLY LOCATED?

You may have a number of guests arriving from out of town. In that case, you will need a place that is easy to reach. This will help to ensure that you don't have to field phone calls from relatives who need directions.

4) DOES IT SUIT YOUR STYLE?

You probably have a distinct personality and style. It only follows that the wedding venue should reflect that. Before you hire a place, try to picture yourself getting married there. If it is a happy picture, then go ahead. Does the venue offer great opportunities for the wedding photographer?

5) HOW MANY GUESTS CAN IT HOLD?

For a small, intimate gathering, a cozy venue may be a better option. For an epic wedding, a large banquet hall or outdoor area is probably the way to go. Carefully consider the number of people who will attend the wedding before you select a place. Check whether the venue can comfortably accommodate the guests.

Get creative when it comes to modernizing your mom's old wedding dress. Trim the bottom off a floor-length gown to make it knee-length or snip off long sleeves for a sleeveless look. Enhance your mom's old wedding dress with a few sequins, pearls, lace or other decorative items to add your own personal touch. Ditch the wedding veil for a sparkly tiara or floral head wreath.

6) HOW MUCH WORK DO YOU HAVE TO PUT IN?

Some venues do not require you to lift even a finger, while others may need a more serious effort. Consider how much time, money, and energy you are willing to spend on decorating the venue. Searching for an all inclusive wedding package would be a great idea.

7) WHO IS THE VENUE COORDINATOR?

Wedding venues usually have a person in charge of the place. Get their details and clarify whether they will be the go-to contact on the big day. Choosing the perfect venue for your wedding is never an easy task. However, by asking these seven questions, you will be able to make the selection process just a little bit easier.
